Nell didn't have to tug too hard at all; Gladio easily followed that kiss onto the couch to join her, settling in comfortably with a soft grunt.

"It's always a good day at the gym," he said, with his usual crooked grin, though it was a bit quieter, a bit less bombastic than it might have typically been. "How 'bout here? Nice and quiet?"

"All ears, huh?" Gladio asked, grin growing a little as he took a moment to playfully flick one of her earlobes. "That's funny, 'cause I only see two."

But he probably should talk to Nell about some of the things from this weekend, huh? He followed the little joke with a small sigh, shifting a little to get more comfortable.

"Guess I'm just still trying to sort it all out, you know? Igs wasn't kidding when he said it was pretty big news."

"And a lot to get used to," Gladio said with a faint huff, and he shook his head. "And that's what it pretty much comes to. Once Iggy sets his mind on something, you better have a damn good case against it if he's gonna change his mind."

And that went especially true when it came to people he cared about. Gladio grunted slightly.

"It might," he admitted, which was another pretty good sticking point in Iggy's favor. "But he says he's not counting on it. He was still blind in that one future where he did go through with this, but you can never tell with those things. He says, if not, then oh well, but if it does? Then even better."

He was quiet for a moment before he begrudgingly admitted, "That would be pretty great for him, though, if it did."

"I just hope," Gladio said, getting down to one of the main roots of his contention, "it doesn't end up just some big mistake."
